Common questions
How far is Agafay from Marrakech?
About forty minutes by road, so you get a real desert night without losing days in a vehicle.
How is Agafay different from the Sahara?
Agafay is a stone desert of rocky hills rather than sand dunes. It is close and easy, while the Sahara has the big dunes and needs more travel time. See our Sahara desert tour for that trip.
Is the camp comfortable?
Yes, it is a proper camp with dinner and a show. Tell me your preferences and I plan around them.
Can I change this itinerary?
Yes, in every way. This is only a starting point to help guide us. We can add days in Marrakech, move the desert night or add another city. See my guide on how many days you need in Morocco.
When is the best time to go?
Spring and autumn are the most comfortable. Summer days can be very hot. Read the best time to visit Morocco guide.
