Planning & booking
How does booking a trip with you actually work?
Every trip starts with a conversation, not a form. Tell us what you have in mind, your dates, your interests, your pace, and we’ll draft an itinerary built around it. There’s no charge for this and no obligation, and we’ll revise it as many times as you need until it feels right.
How far in advance should I book?
For most trips, four to eight weeks gives us enough time to plan properly and secure the right accommodation. If you’re travelling in spring or autumn, or planning a longer route like the Grand Morocco Journey, earlier is better.
Can you build a trip around something specific, like food, hiking, or heritage?
Yes. Our tours are starting points, not fixed packages, and we regularly adjust them around a specific interest, whether that’s food, history, trekking, or something else entirely. Tell us what draws you and we’ll shape the route around it.
What’s the difference between your tours and a normal group package?
Our tours are private and built for you specifically. There’s no third group joining, no fixed departure date to match, and every stop can be changed if it doesn’t fit what you’re looking for.
Money & changes
How do I pay, and is a deposit required?
We’ll walk you through the exact payment process, including any deposit, before you commit to anything. Nothing is charged without it being agreed with you in writing first.
What if I need to change or cancel my trip?
Reach out as early as you can. We’ll always share our cancellation terms with you in writing before you pay a deposit, so you know exactly where you stand before booking.
Do prices include everything?
Each tour page lists what’s included and what isn’t, and we’re upfront about it. If anything is unclear, ask before you book.
Getting ready
Do I need a visa to visit Morocco?
It depends on your nationality. Many travellers from Europe, North America, and Australia don’t need one for short stays, but requirements change, so check with your nearest Moroccan embassy before you travel.
What’s the best time of year to visit?
Spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) are the most comfortable, with mild days and cooler evenings. Summer can be very hot away from the coast, and winter nights are cold in the desert and mountains, so pack accordingly either way.
What should I pack?
Light, breathable layers for the day and something warmer for the evening, comfortable walking shoes, and modest clothing for visiting mosques, medinas, and rural areas. We’ll send a fuller packing list specific to your route once your trip is confirmed.
Do I need any vaccinations?
No vaccinations are required to enter Morocco. As always, it’s worth checking with your doctor or a travel health service ahead of any trip.
Is Morocco safe, including for solo travellers?
Morocco is a safe country to travel in, including for women travelling alone. As anywhere, a little awareness goes a long way, especially in busy medinas, and we’re always reachable if you have questions once you’re on the ground.
On the ground
What language do the guides and drivers speak?
It depends on the route and the specific guide, but English is widely available on our tours. If you’d like to confirm language for a specific trip, just ask before booking.
Will I have phone signal and WiFi?
Coverage is good in cities and along most main routes. It gets patchy in remote parts of the Sahara and High Atlas, which is part of what makes those stretches feel like a real break from everything.
Can you handle dietary restrictions?
Yes. Let us know when we’re planning your trip and we’ll build it around what you need, whether that’s vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, or something else.
What happens if something changes mid-trip, like weather or a closed road?
We stay in contact throughout your trip and adjust where needed. It’s rare, but if something outside anyone’s control affects the plan, we’ll find the best alternative and let you know as soon as possible.
Group & trip style
Can I travel solo, or do you only plan for couples and groups?
All of it. Solo travellers, couples, families, and small groups are all welcome, every itinerary is built around who’s actually coming.
Are your tours private?
Yes, every tour is private to your group. You won’t be joined by other travellers unless you specifically want to combine with friends or family travelling separately.
