Terms & Conditions
The following terms apply to all bookings made with Tajine Travel Morocco.
Who are we
Tajine Travel Morocco is a private tour operator based in Marrakech, Morocco, registered as Tajine Travel Morocco. In these terms, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Tajine Travel Morocco; “you” and “your” refer to the person booking a trip with us.
Making a booking
A trip begins with a conversation about what you want, followed by a draft itinerary that we revise together until it’s right. A booking is only confirmed once you’ve approved a final itinerary and price in writing and paid the required deposit.
A deposit of 30% of the total trip price is required to confirm a booking. The remaining balance is due 6 weeks before your trip begins.
For last-minute trips, the total amount is to be paid once you confirm the booking.
Once a booking is confirmed in writing, the price will not change except where you request changes to the itinerary yourself or something out of our control occurs.
Payment
Payment can be made by bank transfer. All prices are shown in MAD, with your local currency shown for reference.
Changes to your booking
If you’d like to change your itinerary after booking, contact us as early as possible. We’ll do our best to accommodate changes, but some may carry additional costs, particularly where accommodation has already been reserved and is subject to its own cancellation terms.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel, notify us in writing as soon as possible. Cancellation charges are calculated based on how close to your departure date we receive your written notice:
- 90 days: free of charge
- 60 days: 50%
- 30 days: 100%
Where we’ve already paid non-refundable deposits to hotels, riads, or other suppliers on your behalf, those amounts will be deducted regardless of when you cancel.
If we need to make changes
Occasionally we may need to substitute accommodation or adjust a route for reasons outside our control, such as a property being fully booked, closed for renovation, or affected by weather, road conditions, or local events. Where this happens, we’ll always let you know and offer the closest available alternative.
In the event of force majeure like war, natural disaster, civil unrest, pandemic, or similar circumstances beyond anyone’s reasonable control, we will refund what we can recover from suppliers but cannot be held liable for losses caused by the disruption itself.
What’s included
Each tour page states exactly what is and isn’t included in the price. If anything is unclear before you book, ask, we would rather clarify upfront than leave room for surprise.
Your responsibilities
- Ensuring your passport is valid for the required length of stay and that you meet any visa requirements for your nationality.
- Holding adequate travel insurance covering cancellation, medical costs, and repatriation.
- Telling us in writing about any medical conditions, dietary needs, or accessibility requirements before booking, so we can plan around them properly.
Client conduct
We want every trip to be enjoyable for you and for everyone involved in making it happen, your guide, your driver, and the communities you visit. If a client’s behavior seriously endangers others, breaks local laws, or is seriously disrespectful toward guides, drivers, or local communities, we reserve the right to end that part of the trip immediately, without a refund for the remaining services.
Our liability
We take responsibility for the trip being delivered as described and agreed. Where something falls short of what was promised through our own fault or that of our suppliers, we will work with you to put it right, whether that means correcting things on the spot, a partial refund, or other fair compensation appropriate to the situation. Any compensation is at our discretion based on the specific circumstances, and in all cases our total liability will not exceed the total amount you paid us for the trip.
Complaints
If something isn’t right during your trip, tell us straight away so we can try to fix it in real time. Please don’t wait until the trip is finished to inform us about something that we could have fixed on the spot.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Morocco.
